Whether you believe in zodiac signs or not, it’s always interesting to be curious and see yourself in a different light. This article will easily introduce the concept behind the reading of the stars and describe zodiac signs. Most people confuse horoscopes with astrology. Astrology was considered a science along with astronomy until the 18th century with the enlightenment revolution, while horoscopes are assumptions made based only on your Sun position. Firstly, zodiac signs are given based on the position of the planets the exact moment you were born. The earth’s movement will change the way we look at the planets, therefore determining traits in people. Another important aspect in astrology are the different houses. These are determined mostly by the time you were born, and they continuously change for each planet, overlapping the position of the planets. It’s hard to give all the different ranges of combinations since there are so many, so it may be useful to create your chart and see it yourself!
The Sun - The sun describes your ego, identity and role in life. In a nutshell who you are.
The Moon- It’s what you may identify yourself with the most. The moon describes your emotions, moods and feelings.
Mercury- Shows how you communicate, talk, think and process information. This planet reflects the mind.
Venus- Reflects how and what you love.
Aries- assertive, persistent, courageous, competitive and independent. Sometimes too selfish and impulsive.
Taurus-loyal, calm, practical. May need an excessive feeling of security, stubborn and materialistic.
Gemini - cheerful, witty and versatile. But with some superficial, cold, almost silly and erratic personality.
Cancer- emotional and empathetic. May result in being overprotective and over emotional, to the point where it becomes selfish.
Leo- confident, romantic, fun. Sometimes way too much confidence, to the point where it becomes arrogant, dictatorial and snobbish.
Virgo- modest, organised, responsible and loves nature. Sometimes too lazy, critical, forgetful, stressed.
Libra- gracious, artistic, charming, people-pleasing. Insecure and indecisive, passive-aggressive.
Scorpio- pure, intimate, creative are your mantra! Sometimes you become cruel, manipulative and destructive.
Sagittarius- visionary, fortunate, adventurous and philosophical. Unprincipled and fanatic resulting in rudeness.
Capricorn- hard-working, capable, prudent. But cold, sympathetic, reckless and always ambitious. Aquarius- impartial, social aware, humanitarian. You love others. Sometimes too rational and cold.
Pisces- compassionate, extremely creative. Critical, afraid and sometimes you can feel lost.
