If you have been a student in the past 2 years, there is a 99% chance that you have experienced online  learning, which began for us after the first lockdown in March 2020. We have all been subjected to long days  sitting in front of our computers, listening to our teachers speak for hours and hours, and let’s be honest, it is  not the best way to learn. Now most schools are back in presence, but due to the recent Covid case in DP1  most of the class has been doing lessons online again. If these lockdowns have taught us anything, it’s that  we can’t be certain that we won’t be going back to online learning, which isn’t exactly helping students reach  their full potential. 
This is where H-Farm My School comes in. It is a project by H-Farm and supporters by Cisco, the  platform we have currently been using for school online. The project consists of a hybrid learning  program, designed by educators,  psychologists and 3D designers, and brings together virtual reality, interactive streaming, on-demand content and face-to-face lessons to create the  best possible experience for the learner. The final result of the project will be a combination of the best  international education and technological innovation, and bring learning in the future to the present.  H-Farm My School allows students to decide when, where and how they want to learn with a combination of  2D, 360 degree videos and VR. It is a flexible and personalised hybrid schooling project, which means the  students can organise school around their lives, not the other way around. It is catered to students who have  busy schedules due to sport, who have long commutes to school, who move from city to city, students who  need continuity, but in a more flexible way. This new way of learning would also be catered to homeschooled  students, who might sometimes miss the social aspect of school, therefore bringing high quality education to  students and families worldwide. 
The new school is based on four main drivers, adaptation, agenda, time and socialisation. In this case, it is  the school that adapts to the students and their needs, meaning that the content is redesigned in basis of what  channel works the best for the specific topic. The schools agenda is different, where instead of students  having multiple different classes focusing on many different things, students begin with one topic, and  connect all the subjects to it, moving through the course smoothly without creating confusion. All students  need their time, and it is often difficult for them to sit in lessons 8 hours a day, which is why My School  offers a set of On Demand lessons for each module, so the students can go through them themselves on their  own time. Since socialising is still an important part of a students life, there will be times when all the  students will meet up at H-Farm campus to collaborate and socialise with each other.  So, this is H-Farms new pioneering hybrid schooling project, My School.
